Temple fest: HM criticises to Lt Governor

Puducherry, Aug 18 (UNI) The Puducherry unit of the Hindu Munnani (HM) today took strong exception to the "constant failure of Lt Governor' to participate in any of the temple festivals here.

In a release, Hindu Munnani State President A V Sanil Kumar said the tradition in Puducherry was that the head of the state should be a devotee at the temple festivals.

Alleging that Lt Governor Mukut Mithi had avoided taking part in car festivals of the temples at Veerampatinam and Villianur, the HM leader also threatened to organise agitations if Mr Mithi continued with this trend.
