Southwest monsoon active in gangetic West Bengal

Pune, Aug 18 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been active in Gangetic West Bengal and subdued over Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Chattisgarh and at a few places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Jharkhand.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, west Uttar Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar and at isolated places in Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujrat state, Telangana, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
