Ramadoss urges govt to release Muthukumaran Committee report
Chennai, Aug 18 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder S Ramadoss today demanded that the Tamil Nadu Government release the Muthukumaran Committee report on Common School System.
Speaking at a symposium on ''Common and Neighbourhood School Systems'' organised by Pasumai Thayagam and CASA (Churches Auxiliary for Social Action), Dr Ramadoss said the government should release the report.
Dr Ramadoss said free and quality education should be given to all students without any discrimination.
All primary schools in the state should be brought under the government control, he said adding that the government should also look into the irregularities especially the collection of 'exorbitant' fees.
Calling for administrative reforms in education department, the PMK leader said all schools should have uniform syllabus.
