More cultural exchange between Indo-Pak required: Sonali Bendre

Jammu, Aug 18 (UNI) Supporting the on-going peace process, actor Sonali Bendre today advocated the need for more cultural exchange between India and Pakistan.

Talking to mediapersons, after inaugurating signature campaign of a company here, the 33-year-old actor hoped the Kashmir valley would become Bollywood's favourite once again.

Sonali, who has not appeared on silver screen after 2004, claims to be achieving ''creative satisfaction'' while acting in theatre.

Her recent play 'Aap ki Soniya' is a sequel to 'Tumhari Amrita.' Being an Urdu play, a lot of hardwork was required to bring out the best result, Sonali said.

Replying to a question on the changing Hindi cinema, Sonali said, ''of course Bollywood is changing now and it's great to see films in various genres finding their way in. Movies are more realistic and more comfortable to be in compared to the time when i was acting.'' The actress has acted in more than 45 movies, including 10 Telugu, Tamil, Kannad and Marathi from 1994 to 2004. She said her most memorable role was not from any commercial Bollywood film.

''My most memorable role was in 'Anahat', a Marathi movie directed by Amol Palekar. Marathi is my mother tongue and I loved doing the film and felt very comfortable,'' Sonali said.

Talking about her married life, Sonali said being with husband Goldi Behl and two-year-old son Ranvir made her life complete.
