Man attacks couple, woman injured

Dharamshala, Aug 18 (UNI) A 53-year-old woman, received head injuries when she was attacked by a youth at village Ambari near Nagrota Bagwan, police said here today.

According to the investigating officer Mr. Joginder the accused Anil Patial resident of Ambari village last night entered the house of one Hem Raj in the same village and attacked him and his wife Champa Devi with a knife and stick. Champa Devi was injured in the attack.

Mr Joginder said that Anil Patial was under the influence of the liquor when he attacked the couple. He said that reason for attacking the couple was some old enmity .The Woman was rushed to Nagrota Bagwan Hospital.

Police registered a case under section 452, 323, 504, 506 IPC and arrested the accused. Investigation was in progress, Mr Joginder said.
