Mahatransco warns of strict action in case of strike
Mumbai, Aug 18 (UNI) Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (Mahatransco) Managing director S Ratho today warned of strict action against employees of the Company in case they resorted to strike from August 22 to 24.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Ratho said the Essential Service Maintenance Act will be invoked immediately. He said the Company has 11,000 employees out of which 2,000 are officials.
Describing the proposed strike for demands, including pension, as ''illegal'', Mr Rathi said these demands should be discussed with the Government rather than resorting to strikes.
