Low pressure to usher rains in AP coast

Visakhapatnam, Aug 18 (UNI) A low pressure area has formed over north off Bay of Bengal, adjoining West Bengal and Bangladesh this morning.

According to Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) spokesperson, under its influence, rain or thundershowers were likely at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, during the next 48 hours.

Strong surface winds with speed reaching 45-55 kmph from the south-westerly direction was likely along and off Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours.
