Dalits, OBCs clash in Chhattisgarh, four injured
Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Aug 18 (UNI) Four people were injured during a clash between two groups of scheduled castes (SCs) and other backward classes (OBCs) at Kaketara village near here in Chhattisgarh, police said today.
Trouble started when some OBC parents asking their daughters not to mingle with the girls belonging to the scheduled caste. A verbal duel over the issue later took serious turn with both groups attacking each other with iron rods.
Heavy police force have been deployed in the village to maintain law and order. Police said no arrest has been made so far and the situation was now under control.
