Court releases VHP activists
Hubli, Aug 18 (UNI) First Additional District and Sessions Court today ordered the release of 40 Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) activists as the prosecution failed to prove the charges OF their involvement in violence during the birth anniversary celebrations of VHP leader Ashok Singhal in 2001.
The released actiVists included Rashitriya Hindu Sena Chief Pramod Mutalik, Vilas Pawar of Maharashtra and others, who were accused by the police of violence during the celebration.
