Civil-Military liaison conference held

Jalandhar, Aug 18 (UNI) Participnts in a Civil-Military liaison conference organised here today stressed upon the vital co-ordination between various organisations and resolution of issues of mutual interests.

The Army authorities highlighted the issue of unauthorised constructions around ammunition depots upto an area of 980 meters from ammunition depots, since Gazette Notification for the same has been issued by the Centre.

The importance of intelligence sharing with regard to ISI agents and terrorist outfits was also highlighted during the conference.

The civil administration was also requested to keep the obstruction lights of various towers functional for safe air movement of aircrafts and helicopters.

The conference was presided over by 91 Sub Area Commander Brigadier B B Patil and was attended by Deputy Commissioner Ajit Singh Pannu, Senior Superintendent of Police Arpit Shukla in addition to senior officers of Vajra Corps, 91 Sub Area, BSF Headquarters, PAP Jalandhar, ITBP and CRPF officers.
