AP minister unveils logo on 'women trafficking'

Hyderabad, Aug 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Child Welfare and Women Development Minister N Rajyalaxmi today unveiled logo on women trafficking with a motto of 'movement against trafficking', at the concluding two-day programme on 'South India Consultation on Care of Survivors'.

The logo was prepared by Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Prajawala, which was fighting for the cause against women trafficking, with the assistance of United Nations, coinciding the launch of movement against trafficking in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Rajyalaxmi said the government would provide all possible assistance to the NGOs to curb the trafficking menace.

Stating that the government would also take steps to propagate the movement among all sections of the society, including in government departments to create awareness, the minister said the trafficking problem was not being properly highlighted as the AIDS campaign was being projected in a big way in the country.
