Mah: 11 people killed in accident in Dhule

Jalgaon (Mah), Aug 18: At least eleven people, including five women and a girl, were killed and five others seriously injured when an auto rickshaw carrying them collided head-on with a speeding truck at Pimpalner Satana road in Dhule district.

According to a delayed report received here today,the accident occurred yesterday when the victims,identified as the residents of Shelbari village, were on way to a weekly bazaar at Pimpalner.

Of the 11, seven died on the spot while four others died on way to the hospital, police sources said.

The injured had been admitted to Dhule civil hospital and their condition was stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, the truck driver was absconding, police added.
