Two Sabarimala pilgrims killed as vehicle plunges into gorge
Pathanamthitta, Aug 17 (UNI) Two Sabarimala pilgrims were killed and four injured when the driver of the vehicle in which they were travelling lost control and plunged into a deep gorge near Attathodu on the Sabarimala trunk road.
Police identified the deceased as Unnikrishnan (35) and driver Ravi (45) from Koduvayi in Palakkad district.
The vehicle, which got stuck into a cluster of trees was ripped open to retrieve the victims.
The devotees were proceeding to Sabarimala Ayyappa temple.
The bodies were kept at the mortuary of Pathanamthitta General Hospital where the injured were admitted, police added.
