SRM varsity to host National Tech Festival AARUUSH '07

Chennai, Aug 17 (UNI) The SRM University will host the first edition of the national level Technical Festival 'Aaruush-2007' at its campus in suburban Kattankulathur from August 31 to September 3.

The theme of the festival was 'Rising in the Spirit of Innovation', where the best brains from across the nation would come together to solve the problems being faced by society, industries and showcase their talents in all spheres of engineering.

''Aaruush-07 is all set to become the Tech Fest to give away one of the highest in prize money,'' a varsity release here said today.

Aaruush, which in Sanskrit means 'The first rays of Sun', would comprise around 50 events, including guest lectures, workshops and seven broad categories of technical and fun events.

The event categories include 'The Blue Book', 'Robogyan', 'Konstruction', 'Yuddhame', 'X-Zone', 'MAGefficie', 'Praesentatio', and few events by Microsoft.

Aaruush would bring together most eminent personalities from various academic fields and industry, bringing forth the latest developments and emerging trends in the field of Science and Technology.

Leading universities and engineering colleges in the country with over 500 individual registrations have confirmed participation in this mega four-day event.
