Smugglers arrested, truck load of smuggled betel nut seized

Basti, Aug 17 (UNI) Police today arrested two persons and seized a truck load of betel nut worth Rs five lakh being smuggled from Nepal.

Official sources said a truck en route to Kanpur was intercepted on Basti-Faizabad national highway.

On checking, 80 gunny bags stuffed with the smuggled commodity was seized.

The truck driver and his aide were arrested.
