Rupee falls another 20 paise against USD in opening trade
Mumbai, Aug 17: Maintaining a declining mode on the second consequtive day Rupee today opened lower by about twenty paise at 41.55/60 against US Dollar in an active trading at the interbank foreign exchange (forex) market today.
The local currency made a weak start in a wide range at 41.55/60 per US dollar as compared to the previous close of 41.36/37 per dollar, dealers said.
During the early sessions the market was extremely volatile and the Rupee touched the further low of 41.71/72 per dollar, a high of 41.58/59 during the morning trade.
The Rupee is currently trading at 41.60/61 against the American Greenback, dealers added.
On Thursday, Rupee moved at the weakest level in the three months as the global market observed a down swing and huge outflows.
