Rama Pattabhishekam in TTD-run temple begins Aug 18

Tirupati, Aug 17 (UNI) The three-day Srirama Pattabhishekam at Sripattabirama Temple in Valmekipuram, near here, would begin tomorrow.

The TTD which had taken over the temple located about 90 km from here in 1997 performed the first 'Mahasamproksham' (consecration) in August 2005. It later decided to celebrate pattabishekam in a grand manner.

The 'Ankurarpan' will be performed on the first day tomorrow. The deity would be taken out on Hanumantha Vahanam on the second day and Garuda Vahanam on the final day of the festival,the TTD said in a release here today.
