Punjab Police inspector suspended for obscene MMS
Ludhiana, Aug 17 (UNI) A Punjab Police inspector was today placed under suspension on charges of preparing and circulating an obscene MMS on cell phones.
Giving details SSP R K Jaiswal said that Inspector Arvind Puri, Station House Officer (SHO) of Division-8 police station had been suspended after registration of a case against him. The case was registered under sections 342, 354, 355, 500 and 501 of the IPC.
He said in 2004 the suspended police official had with help of a mobile phone (camera) prepared an obscene MMS featuring a young woman and a man in a city police station. The unmarried couple were rounded up by the police and brought to the police station where they were directed to perform obscene acts which were captured by the mobile phone camera, he said and added that the MMS was circulated a few days back.
The suspension orders were issued on the bases of an inquiry conducted by SP (city).
