Prakash Karat to inaugurate CPI(M) office at Kottayam

Kottayam, Aug 17 (UNI) CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat will inaugurate the district committee office of the party here tomorrow.

At a news conference here today, party district secretary K J Thomas said the building was constructed with the contribution of party members and CITU members.

Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan would inaugurate the P Krishnapillai birth centenary memorial hall in the district committee office. CPI(M) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan would inaugurate the T K Ramakrishnan Memorial Study Centre in the building, he said.

The public meeting as part of the office inauguration would be held at the Thirunakkara Maidan. Mr Karat, Mr Achuthanandan, LDF Convenor Vaikom Viswan, Mr Vijayan, State Finance Minister Thomas Issac, Cooperation Minister G Sudhakaran and State Committee member V R Bhaskaran would address the meeting, he said.
