Nitish condoles the death of Tarkeshwari Sinha

Patna, Aug 17 (UNI) Expressing sorrow over the death of former union minister Tarkeshwari Sinha, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said she always strived for the empowerment of women.

The veteran Congress leader and a freedom fighter had played a pivotal role in the country's Independence.

In his condolence message, Mr Kumar described Ms Sinha's death as his personal loss and that the state had lost a veteran leader.
