Mehra appointed Essar Steel Holdings Ltd CEO

Mumbai, Aug 17 (UNI) Essar Group today announced the appointment Mr Jatinder Mehra as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Essar Steel Holdings Ltd (ESHL).

In his new role as CEO, Mr. Mehra will be responsible for all the Operations and Projects of the Steel Business of Essar Steel Holdings Limited including Mines, in India and Internationally, Essar Group said in a release issued here.

Mr. Mehra has been associated with the Essar Group since 1997 in various capacities including Managing Director for Essar Steel Ltd., and Resident Director - Corporate Affairs, Essar Group.

Mr. Mehra is a Chemical Engineer from BITS - Ranchi and has completed an Advance Management Program at the Oxford University.

He is a well respected veteran in the steel industry with over 45 years experience in various capacities in reputed Public Sector and Private Steel Companies, including Steel Authority India Limited (SAIL) and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited - Vishakapatnam (RINL) as its Chairman and Managing Director, the release added.
