Inauguration of ECHS Ppolyclinic at Salt Lake

Kolkata, Aug 17 (UNI) An Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) polyclinic was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. K. S. Jamwal, GOC-in-C, Eastern Command, at Salt Lake in the city today.

The new polyclinic will serve approximately 20,000 ex-servicemen and their dependents of five in and around districts of this part of West Bengal. This was a type 'D' polyclinic.

Setting up of such type of polyclinics to help armed forces veterans to get free medical treatment in designated hospitals were also in the pipeline, army sources said.
