Gadkari demands CBI inquiry into Rs 10,000 cr wakf scam
Mumbai, Aug 17 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari today demanded a CBI inquiry into the alleged 'misuse' of Wakf land by Congress leaders, involving corruption to the tune of Rs 10,000 crore.
Talking to reporters, Mr Gadkari termed it as 'the betrayal of muslim community as Congress leaders swallowed the land which was donated for graveyards, dargahs and idgahs'.
The BJP also published a booklet in Marathi and Urdu titled 'Congress rashtrawadi Congresscha secular bharashtachar' (Secular corrution of Congress-NCP), in which the party has listed all the properties which have been swallowed by the leaders of both the political parties.
He said the 10,000 urdu copies of the booklet will be distributed in muslim-dominated areas of Marathwada and other parts of the state.
