CM to hold joint legislature party meeting soon
Bangalore, Aug 17 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said he would hold a joint legislature party meeting of BJP and JD (S) soon, to sort out the issues including the transfer of power on October 3.
Speaking on the sidelines of an all party meeting on flood situation here today, he said the coalition partners will take up all matters that were related to administration, coordination and development of the state.
''The issue of my quitting the Chief Minister's post to pave way for the transfer of power as per the agreement made during the formation of coalition set up would also come up at the meeting,'' he said.
He would decide on resigning the CM's post only after the meeting, he said.
Mr Kumaraswamy, yesterday had reportedly offered to quit as he was not ready to be described as the ''countdown'' Chief Minister following Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa's statement on Independence Day, terming himself the next Chief Minister of the state.
