Cabinet approves appointment of teachers: Horatti
Dharwad, Aug 17 (UNI) The Karnataka Cabinet has approved appointment of retired teachers on temporary basis for taking up classes in Pre-university colleges in the state for which Rs 10 crore has been released, Primary and Higher Secondary Minister B S Horatti said today.
Talking to newspersons here, he said as the appointment of 1,700 teachers in Pre-university colleges was withheld, retired teachers were temporarily appointed to teach the Pre University students.
The minister said application forms for fresh recruitment of 8,000 primary and 3,000 higher secondary teachers were available in DDRI offices in the state.
He said Rs 19 crore had been sanctioned for construction of 632 houses for teachers in rural areas during this year.
