BSP to organise three protest rallies in Punjab
Fatehgarh Sahib, Aug 17 (UNI) BSP will organised three protest rallies to lodge its anti against Punjab government for its 'partial' role in the recent municipal corporation elections, BSP state president Avtar Singh Karimpuri said here today.
Talking to mediapersons at Sirhind, Mr Karimpuri said the party will organise protest rallies on August 20 at Patiala, on August 21 at Ludhiana and on August 22 at Amritsar.
He alleged that the state government made efforts to capture the power in the civic bodies of the State by ''murdering'' democracy.
He said the acts of SAD-BJP alliance, which made a mockery of elections, rigged booths and indulged in chooliganism have lowered their image in the eyes of public.
He termed the Atta Dal scheme launched by the government as ''totally bogus'' allegeing that the genuine ''needy'' families have been ignored, whereas only SAD (B)-BJP workers managed to get Blue Cards.
Earlier, some SAD, BJP and Congress activists announced to join BSP in presence of Mr Karimpuri.
