BJYM activists burn copies of daily over headline
Nagpur, Aug 17 (UNI) Activists of the Bharatiya Janata Yuwa Morcha (BJYM) burnt copies of a national daily here today to protest against a headline in its Independence Day issue and demanded an apology from the journal.
They described the headline as an 'insult' to the country.
The BJYM activists raised slogans against the headline carried on the front page of the newspaper.
''The headline is an insult to the motherland and hurts the sentiments of Hindus,'' BJYM city unit chief Sandip Joshi said.
Later the activists, led by Mr Joshi, handed over a memorandum to the staff of the daily demanding an unconditional apology within seven days. The memorandum warned that the agitation would be intensified if the daily did not tender an apology.
