Acute Hot, humid weather in Delhi, mercury rises to 36.8 Deg C
New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) Acute hot and humid conditions today left people of Delhi sweltering, with the mercury rising to 36.8 Degree Celsius, three degrees above normal.
For the third consecutive day, Delhiites were send in a sweat by hot and humid weather. The maximum temperature rose to 36.8 Degree Celsius, from 36.5 Degree Celsius yesterday.
The hot and humid conditions are likely to persist for the rest of the week with weathermen forecasting subdued rainfall activity over Northwest India for the next two to three days.
''Rainfall activity is likely to remain subdued over Northwest India and interior peninsula during the next three days,'' the Met office said.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the likelihood of thundry development in some areas.
After moderate rainfall last weekend and the beginning of the week, the Capital has witnessed a return to hot and humid conditions from Wednesday with the mercury showing a rising trend over the last few days.
