Third phase of monsoon may hit Rajasthan next week

Jaipur, Aug 16 (UNI) Monsoon has almost become inactive in Rajasthan for now but weathermen predict that the third phase of monsoon is likely commence next week.

According to weather and irrigation department, only 10 mm rainfall was recorded in Banswara district's Arthuna and Danpur in Udaipur division. No rainfall has been recorded in the rest of the state.

Weathermen say for the time being, monsoon has become inactive but there are hopes that the third phase of monsoon will be here after a week.

The temperature has risen in the state capital with no rains in the past four days. The maximum here was recorded at 33.5 degree Celsius.

The meteorological department has predicted a dry spell over the next 24 hours.
