Teej celebrated at Haryana Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh, Aug 16 (UNI) A state-level Teej festival was organised with traditional fervour in Haryana Raj Bhavan here today.

Haryana Governor A R Kidwai was the Chief Guest. Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Raghuvir Singh Kadian, Haryana Chief Minister Bupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Vijender Jain, Revenue and Irrigation Minister Ajay Singh Yadav and Chief Secretary Prem Prashant were present on the occasion.

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister M L Tayal, Political Advisor to Chief Minister Prof Virender, Media Advisor to CM, Sunder Pal Singh and senior officers of the state government were among others who graced the occasion.

Artistes of Haryana Kala Parishad presented a colourful cultural programme projecting the Haryanavi culture. The items presented on the occasion included Khoria, Faag, Tokni, Saawan dances and Ragnis.

The Governor impressed by the cultural programme announced a sum of Rs 1,01,000 for the artistes.

The Raj Bhavan was tastefully decorated and illuminated with lights. The ladies and children enjoyed rides on colorful swings, stalls of mehandi and bangles were also put up on the occasion for the women guests.
