Sumeet Dahal crowned Miss Sikkim 2007

Gangtok, Aug 16 (UNI) Twenty-year-old Sumeet Dahal of Gangtok has been crowned 'Miss Sikkim 2007' in a glittering beauty pageant held here.

The college student edged out twelve other contestants to become the winner on tuesday.

Ms Dahal will represent Sikkim in the mega Miss North East beauty pageant to be held at Guwahati later this year.

Rinchen Dolma Bhutia (17) and A Menuka (18), first and second runners-up respectively, will also represent Sikkim in the Northeast competition.

The top three winners from the Northeast competition will get an opportunity to contest for the coveted Miss India title.

''Within a few days, we will be forwarding the names and completing all the formalities for the Miss North East competition,'' Event Manager for the Sikkim pageant Rakesh Somani said.
