Sahara-Radisson hotel to come up in Lucknow ny 2010
Lucknow, Aug 16 (UNI) Sahara India Club Royale Corporation Ltd, the hotel business wing of Sahara Infrastructure and Housing, in agreement with Carlson Hotels Worldwide, will construct international standard Radisson Hotel at Sahara City Homes township in the state capital with an investment of Rs 100 crore.
Announcing the new venture here today, Sahara City Homes Hotels CEO Dibeyendu Banerjee said that the hotel would be constructed and owned by Sahara India Club Royale Corporation Ltd and will operate under a licence from Radisson Hotels International USA, a fully owned subsidiary of Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
He said the construction of the hotel will commence shortly and will be operational by first quarter of 2010.
Mr Banerjee said, ''We are happy to tie-up with Carlson Hotels Worldwide, the global leader in hospitality business as now the residents of Sahara City Homes, Lucknow, will experience the world class Radisson facilities.'' Carlson Hotels Worldwide vice president (South Asia) K B Kachru said, ''Radisson has significant experience as an operator of upscale, full service hotels round the world. We are delighted to be associated with Sahara on such a dynamic and pioneering project.'' According to the project 3.68 acre land with architecture will have 135 rooms and 15 service apartments. The main features of the new hotel will be two dedicated executive club floors for people who want more out of life, wi-fi enabled, heated pool, high-end retail outlet and 24-hour room service facilities.
