Tripura: ONGC to work for socio-economic devp

Agartala, Aug 16: ONGC Executive Director and Tripura Asset Manager Biplab Guha has asked ONGC officials to emphasise on socio-economic fronts, besides operational performance for upliftment of the society.

Unfurling the National Tricolor at the ONGC premises here yesterday, Mr Guha said ONGC was not deterred by the landlocked nature and extensive forest coverage of Tripura.

ONGC had embarked on its journey for exploration more than four decades ago and would be continuing its endeavours, he added.

''Drilling and other engineering staff have progressively established significant gas reserves through the efforts of its team of geoscientists. However, we should continue working to tap the full potential of the state,'' Mr Guha underlined.
