Non-bailable warrants against two cops in Nithari case
Ghaziabad, Aug 16 (UNI) A CBI court today issued non-bailable warrants against former investigating officer of the Nithari killings case Dinesh Yadav and SHO B P Singh, summoning them by August 29 as accused under the Corruption Act.
Acting on an application filed by one Nandlal, father of the 20-year-old girl Payal, who was killed at prime accused Moninder Singh Pandher's house, CBI Judge Rama Jain directed the SSP to produce the two on August 29.
Mr Khalid Khan, Nandlal's counsel, said the judge took cognisance of the prima facie evidence under Section 319 of the Cr PC, given by the victim's father about Yadav accepting bribe from Pandher.
Yadav, then Circle Officer in Nithari had been earlier suspended following a sting operation allegedly showing him accepting favours from Pandher.
B P Singh was the former SHO of Sector 20 police station, who allegedly had been in touch with Pandher as the mobile phone records showed.
