Mohali batsmen skittled out for 152 by Patiala bowlers
Patiala, Aug 16 (UNI) Mohali batsmen could not withstand the penetrative Patiala bowling attack and were skittled out for 152 in 55.1 overs on the last day in the Punjab Inter-District Under-22 Tournament here at the Dhruve Pandove Cricket Stadium.
By virtue of first innings lead, Patiala got two-point, while Mohali failed to bag a point.
On a dry and humid morning, Mohali batsmen could not cash in on the perfect batting track and most of the batsmen were at sea against Patiala bowling attack.
Ishan Dogra with painstaking 51 was the only batsman who played with some confidence, ably supported by Gurkirat Singh (34) and Yuvraj Singh (20).
For Patiala, Sarabjit Singh Ladda ripped through the Mohali batting, capturing six wickets, giving away 43 runs.
Amitoj Singh took 2 wickets, conceding 15 runs.
In the second essay, Patiala were 94 for 2 at the end of the day's play. Ravi Inder Singh was 50 not out.
For Mohali, Parminder Singh and Harmit Singh took a wicket each, giving away 4 and 36 runs respectively.
Patiala's next match is against Chandigarh in Chandigarh on August 18 and 19. Patiala's third match will be against Minor Districts here on August 21 and 22.
