Minister not satisfied with implementation of REGS

Gulbarga, Aug 16 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Agriculture Produce Marketing Sharanabasappa Darshanapur today expressed dissatisfaction over the way the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (REGS) being implemented in the District.

Presiding over a review meeting here, the Minister called an explanation from the officials regarding delay in payment under the scheme.

He said that the funds, allocated under the scheme had not yet been spent. He regretted that the payment to be made under the scheme had not been paid for the last six months and ordered payment within a week.

The Minister also instructed to take measures to spend the funds allocated properly.
