Minister dissatisfied with REGS implementation

Gulbarga, Aug 16 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Agriculture Produce Marketing Sharanabasappa Darshanapur today expressed dissatisfaction over the manner of implementation of the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (REGS) in the district.

Chairing a review meeting here, the Minister sought an explanation from officials over delay in payment under the scheme despite fund allocation.

The Minister said payments had been pending for the last six months and ordered the disbursal in a week. He also gave instructions for proper spending of allocated funds.
