Law Clubs to educate students against drugs and ragging
Mangalore, Aug 16 (UNI) The Mangalore District and Sessions Court proposes to start Law Clubs Colleges in Daxina Kannada to educate students against ragging and drug abuse, Judge H M Bharathesh said today.
Expressing concern over growing incidents of ragging and drug consumption by students, Mr Bharathesh told newsmen that "our main aim was to create awareness about the growing incidents of ragging and consumption of harmful drugs." "If College Principals come forward the Court would extend all help needed for setting up the Law Clubs," he added.
The Mangalore Bar Association President Monappa Bhandary, who was also present, said that the District Legal Services Authority would organize a District Level Legal Service Camp for SC and ST against untouchability and atrocities at Manchi in Bantwal Taluk on August 19.
