Karnataka CM to stay in two villages in Gulbarga District

Gulbarga, Aug 16 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, continuing his village to learn more about the problems faced by people living in rural areas, will make a overnight stay in two villages in the District on August 20 and 21.

Disclosing this to newsmen here Legislator Viswanath Patil Hebbar said that the Chief Minister will stay overnight in Kannil village in Surpur taluk and Donagam in Chitapur taluk. Both the villages were identified as most backward by the Najundappa Committee on Regional imbalance.

After overnight stay in Kannil village on August 21, Mr Kumaraswamy would visit Jawargi and Aland and participate in various development programmes. In Aland he would inaugurate Government Hospital.

The next day, after overnight stay in Donagam, Mr Kumaraswamy would lay foundation stone for construction of a bridge across the river Kogini.

The Chief Minister would also lay foundation stone for construction 110 kv power sub-station, a 100-bed hospital to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 crore. He would also lay foundation stone for construction of by-pass road in Chitapur to be taken up at cast of Rs 2.7 crore.
