Huge quantity of illicit liquor seized from South Delhi
New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) The Delhi Police seized huge quantity of illicit liquor from South Delhi on Independence Day yesterday and arrested two persons in this connection.
Johri Lal and Puran, supplying liquor in the Govind Puri, Kalkaji and Sangam Vihar areas, were arrested by the police last night.
While Johri Lal was arrested with 22 cartons of illicit liquor which he had gone to sell in a jhuggi cluster in Kalkaji, Puran was arrested from Sangam Vihar with 190 quarters of illicit liquor.
Both have been arrested under the Excise Act, police said.
