Hot, humid weather continues in Delhi, mercury rises to 36.5 Deg C

New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) Hot and humid conditions today continued to send Delhiites in a sweat for the second consecutive day, with the mercury rising to 36.5 Degree Celsius.

For the second day in succession, a bright sunlit sky welcomed people in the morning. The sun, coupled with high humidity levels, led to a rise in maximum temperature to 36.5 Degree Celsius, three degree above normal.

The coming days could bring relief from hot and humid conditions with the weathermen forecasting some more rainfall in plains of Northwest India, including Delhi, during the next three days under the influence of a low pressure area in Northwest Bay of Bengal.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi in the next 24 hours with rain or thundershowers in a few areas.
