Every gram panchayat in Orissa to have its website

Bhubaneswar, Aug 16 (UNI) The Orissa government will soon have an Oriya website of all gram panchayats in the state to sensitise the people about its various programmes and policies.

Panchayat Raj Minister Raghunath Mohanty here today said the government had also planned to set up IT kiosks in every gram panchayat.

He said the data would be provided in Oriya using the IT Kiosks service.

''We are even planning to have some applications where the people can download and submit various forms and log in their grievances,'' Mr Mohanty said.

He said for the first time in the country that the department had launched its website, www.orissapanchayat.gov.in, in Oriya for the people yesterday.
