CM to stay at two villages in Gulbarga District
Gulbarga, Aug 16 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, as part of his village stay programme, will stay at two villages in this district on August 20 and 21.
Talking to newspersons here today, Legislator Viswanath Patil Hebbar said the chief minister would stay at Kannil village in Surpur taluk and Donagam village in Chitapur taluk.
Both villages have been identified as the most backward by Najundappa Committee on Regional Imbalance.
After his overnight stay at Kannil village on August 21, Mr Kumaraswamy would visit Jawargi and Aland to participate in various development programmes.
In Aland, he would inaugurate a government hospital.
After the overnight stay at Donagam, Mr Kumaraswamy would lay the foundation stone for a bridge across river Kogini.
He would also inaugurate a 110 KV power sub-station, a 100-bed hospital to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 crore, and a by-pass road at Chitapur planned at a cost of Rs 2.7 crore.
