CBI denies giving Ashok Malhotra any clean chit
New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) The CBI today denied reports that capital's multi-crore land scam accused Ashok Malhotra has been given a clean chit by it and said investigations were still on.
''The investigations are at a preliminary stage. We are still examining the huge number of documents recovered during raids at his house,'' CBI sources said.
Reports in a section of the media had said the CBI has failed to recover any property paper linked to the alleged scam over fraudulent sale of 5,500 DDA plots. They also alleged that the agency has not been able to trace any allotment paper to Malhotra or his family members and that the luxury cars with their fancy number-plates, were all accounted for.
