BJP legislators donate Rs 3.98 lakh to CM's relief fund

Patna, Aug 16 (UNI) BJP legislative party members today donated Rs 3.98 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for flood victims in North Bihar.

On receiving the cheque of Rs 3.98 lakh, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar thanked the BJP legislators for their benevolent gesture and appealed to all, including non-government organisations and corporate sectors, to donate generously to the relief fund.

Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who was also present on the occasion, assured the chief minister that the next instalment of Rs two lakh would be donated to the relief fund soon.

In response to the appeal from the chief minister, the BJP legislators had decided to give donations, he added.

State Health Minister Chandra Mohan Rai and Co-operative Minister Ramjee Rishideo were also present on the occasion.
