BJP Karnataka Chief defends Dy CM statement
Bangalore, Aug 16 (UNI) Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party President D V Sadanandagowda today justified the statement by Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on his claim over becoming the next Chief Minister of the state from October.
"There was nothing wrong in making such a statement as it in tune with the agreement reached between the coalition partners JD(S) and BJP before forming the government," he added.
Mr Gowda was speaking to newsmen after holding a meeting with his party Ministers and discussing present political scenario in the state and also about the statement by Mr Yediyurappa after unfurling national tri-colour yesterday at Shimoga.
He said that there was no confusion over the transfer of power from JD (S) to BJP in October.
Mr Gowda said that the issue would be sorted out at the Coordination Meeting to be held shortly.
Later Mr Yediyurppa said that he along with other leaders of the party would hold talks with the Chief Minister and if he was upset over the statement he would convince him.
