BJP activist hacked to death in Kerala

Kannur, Aug 16: A BJP activist was hacked to death by a gang, suspected to be members of a rival political outfit, at Mooriyad, near Koothuparamba, in this district of Kerala this morning.

Police identified the deceased as K Pramodh (28).

Another person Prakash (33), who suffered injuries in the attack, was rushed to a local hospital. His condition was stated to be serious.

Tension prevailed in the area following the incident. A huge posse of police personnel was deployed there to prevent any flare up of the situation.
