Arunachal: Mr Ajay Chadha appointed as DGP

Itanagar, Aug 16: Mr Ajay Chadha, an IPS officer of the 1977 batch, has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Arunachal Pradesh yesterday.

Official sources here today said Mr Chadha, an IPS cadre of Arunachal, Goa, Mizoram and other Union Territories (AGMUT), was the special commissioner (Security) of Delhi Police prior to his new assignment.

A major reshuffle in the top brass of the Delhi Police was carried out on July 19, ahead of an expected replacement of K K Paul, who had been shifted to UPSC, official sources added.
