2 seriously injured as train rams into mini-lorry

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 16 (UNI) The driver and cleaner of a mini-lorry were seriously injured when a train rammed into their vehicle at an unmanned level crossing between Inamkulathur and Samudram Railway Stations on the Tiruchirapalli-Dindigul BG Section, near here, this evening.

Police said the mishap occurred when the driver attempted to cross the track before the train could reach the level crossing.

Both the injured have been admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital. However, there was no obstruction of traffic as there were no train services at the time.
