Two killed in chemical factory blast

Anand, Aug 14 (UNI) Two persons were killed and two others seriously injured in a blast in a chemical factory at village Kalamsar in Khambhat taluka today.

The blast occurred when vats stored with chemicals in Khambhat Chemicals unit burst at around 1430 hrs, bringing down the roof of the factory. Four men were in the room when the accident took place, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Yogesh Brijbehari Dave (44) of Vadod town and Natushana Makwana (34) of Ralaj village. The injured have been admitted to the civil hospital at Ahmedabad, they added.
